Pricing model
MOQOM Cloud is prepaid, cost-plus, and capped.
- Prepaid. You buy credit up front (minimum $10). Usage draws it down. There are no invoices, no commitments and no surprise bills.
- Cost-plus. Each participant-interval is priced from what it actually costs to serve — relay bandwidth and compute — plus a markup and a per-GiB platform fee.
- Capped. Whatever cost-plus comes to, a charge never exceeds the ceiling for the participant’s role and tier: Agora’s list price minus 1¢ per 1,000 minutes. For most workloads cost-plus is far below the ceiling; the ceiling guarantees you never pay more than you would have elsewhere.

The formula
Section titled “The formula”For each usage record (one participant, one interval):
cost = egress_GiB × egress_cost_per_gib + ingress_GiB × ingress_cost + seconds × compute_per_secondprice = cost × (1 + markup) + egress_GiB × platform_fee_per_gibcharge = min(price, ceiling(role, tier) × seconds / 60,000)The live inputs are published at GET /v1/rates. At the
time of writing the rate card is:
| Input | Value |
|---|---|
| Egress cost basis | $0.12 per GiB |
| Markup | 15% (markup_basis_points: 1500) |
| Platform fee | $0.01 per GiB of egress |
| Ingress | Free |
Ceilings
Section titled “Ceilings”Prices per 1,000 participant-minutes, in US dollars. Hosts and interactive audience share one column; broadcast audience is cheaper.
| Tier | Agora list (host / audience) | MOQOM ceiling (host / audience) | Agora list (broadcast audience) | MOQOM ceiling (broadcast audience) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Audio | $0.99 | $0.98 | $0.59 | $0.58 |
| HD (≤ 1280×720) | $3.99 | $3.98 | $1.99 | $1.98 |
| Full HD (≤ 1920×1080) | $8.99 | $8.98 | $4.59 | $4.58 |
| 2K (≤ 2560×1440) | $15.99 | $15.98 | $7.99 | $7.98 |
| 2K+ (> 2560×1440) | $35.99 | $35.98 | $17.99 | $17.98 |
Agora list prices are Interactive Live Streaming list prices retrieved October 2026. The ceiling is re-checked when Agora changes theirs. Tiers are explained in Tiers & ceilings.
Worked example
Section titled “Worked example”A host publishing and receiving HD for one hour, with 1.2 GiB of relay egress to them:
| Step | Amount |
|---|---|
| Egress cost: 1.2 GiB × $0.12 | $0.1440 |
| Compute: 3,600 s × $0.000001 | $0.0036 |
| Cost | $0.1476 |
| + 15% markup | $0.0221 |
| + platform fee: 1.2 GiB × $0.01 | $0.0120 |
| Price | $0.1817 |
| Ceiling: 60 min × $3.98 / 1,000 | $0.2388 |
| Charged (price is under the ceiling) | $0.1817 |
The same hour at a very high bitrate would hit the ceiling and be charged $0.2388, with the
ledger entry marked capped: true.
What is never charged
Section titled “What is never charged”- Moderation, room management, events and API calls.
- Platform watchdogs (e.g. MOQOM’s own safety classifiers). Your own watchdogs are charged like
subscribers when
is_billableis set. - Recording. A recording or data-capture agent is a room agent (watchdog), so it pays what any subscriber pays for the bytes it receives, with no recording fee on top. Recordings are written to your tenant’s own bucket; storage is passed through at cost. Self-hosted, you pay your own cloud costs and the per-GiB platform fee.
When credit runs out
Section titled “When credit runs out”When the balance reaches zero, new sessions are refused: joins get 402 and
MintClientToken gets FAILED_PRECONDITION. Moderation always keeps working. Turn on
auto top-up to avoid reaching zero.
